Irina Zimina works with the concepts of eros, self-knowledge and search for identity. Using the technique of framing the image, she creates a lively atmosphere in her work, conveying the mood of the space around the subject. The main character of her works is her own prototype with her pain, feelings, imperfection and vulnerability. The artist talks about looking for the true self and self-determination in the space of the outside world, about unconsciousness and confusion. The choice of the painting medium is not accidental, because working with canvas and brushes is primarily a physical practice. It is important for the author to show the viewer through her example that he is not alone in his problems. Irina explores the topic of psychoanalysis and poses questions of existential loneliness, violation of personal boundaries, awareness of her own worth.
